Thaddeus Young is the 6' 8" starting small forward for the Philadelphia 76ers.
Prior to being a Sixer, Thad was a proud Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket who studied management and helped lead the team to a 20-12 record and a berth in the 2007 NCAA Tournament.
As the 12th overall draft pick in the 2007 NBA Draft, Thad signed with the Philadelphia 76ers on July 11, 2007. His NBA debut on November 7th of the same year was a mere glimpse of things to come; he made his first NBA field goal at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia in a 94–63 Sixers win over the Charlotte Bobcats.
Thad's stats have only continued to impress. Currently at 149 games with 93 starts, averaging 11.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 1.16 steals in 27.7 minutes per game, it's no surprise that Thad was named to the NBA T-Mobile All-Rookie Second Team in 2007-08 and selected to the 2009 T-Mobile Rookie Challenge and Youth Jam during All-Star Weekend.
